I’m a sweet dog that recently came into the care of the Rockingham Harrisonburg SPCA. I’m still getting settled in so a little nervous when meeting new people. I need a special family that can provide for my ongoing medical needs. I had pancreatitis and had to be switched to a prescription low fat food. My bloodwork came back normal and the kind people here tell me that I can go home with a family that can make sure I visit a vet regularly, stay on my special diet and definitely don’t get any human food. Oh, and I need to loose some weight but that’s not a big deal as I like going for walks and being active.

I’m worth the extra attention, come in and see me. Staff here can share my medical records with you so you can discuss with your vet to make sure everyone is ready for me to come home.

This is Buck!He loves toys, especifically ones that make any type of squeak or crunch noise. He also loves running around in a back yard, and has done great with the resident dog in his foster home. He is doing well in potty training and going out on the leash, but will need someone who is willing to take the time to leash train him as he is still a little scared of the great outdoors. At the end of a long play session he loves to cuddle up to take a quick nap before starting the fun again! He would do best in an active household!

Hello there! I’m Rocco! I am a five year old Labrador/Pit Bull Terrier mix that was surrendered to shelter after my family was no longer able to care for me. But, hey, the past is the past and now I’m on the hunt for a new forever home! I can be a bit shy around new things, especially men, but after a bit of time (and maybe some treats!)
