Bella

Bella is a senior Lhasa Apso who came to us when her owner’s housing permissions changed. She was rescued out-of-state about 8 years ago. She is housebroken, spent most of her time indoors, and displayed no destructive tendencies in the house, although she barked when strangers came to the door. As a small dog, Bella does have the tendency to walk underfoot and may air snap if she feels feet are too close. She is a sweet, friendly girl who will make a lovely in-home companion! Come meet Bella today!

Little Looper

Little Looper is a young, medium-sized (44 pound) mixed breed dog who came to us as an owner surrender. Looper’s previous owner found her as a stray and housed her until their health declined and could no longer meet her needs.

While we do not know her exact age (we guess her to be about a year old), Looper very much acts like a puppy. She is excitable and jumpy, loves to play with toys (although she’s not yet great at bringing them back!), and is motivated by treats. She responds excellently to corrections which makes her a GREAT candidate for successful training to learn how to walk calmly on leash and execute tricks.

Looper’s ideal home is one that will give her opportunities to burn off energy while also providing training opportunities so she learns how to harness that energy. Due to her jumpy nature, she may do best with older children she cannot knock over. She was described by her previous owner as a “house dog and very lovable” who loves to play with toys. Are you looking to bring a bundle of sheer joy (who needs a little training) into your home? Come meet Looper today!

Sunny

Sunny is a large (69 lbs) adult (1 year old) mastiff mix that was brought to us due to his past owners’ health issues.

Sunny is a lover of naps, people, and squeaky toys. If you’re lucky, sometimes you’ll get to witness all three at once. You’ll first notice him napping peacefully but once he realizes you’re there, he will come greet you with a squeaky toy. He was crate trained and housebroken in his previous home and with time, the transition will likely be accomplished quick.

Sunny has been around older kids, but not younger ones so a home with older children is preferred. Sunny has gotten along well with other dogs in his previous home but due to his tendency to resource guard, it is recommended that he be the single dog in the home.

Sunny has been diagnosed with both ehrlichiosis and heartworm disease. Ehrlichiosis is a treatable tickborne disease that, without treatment, can cause long term effects such as seizures, hemorrhaging, and heart failure. Heartworm disease is a parasitic infection caused by mosquitos that results in lung and heart disease if left untreated. Sunny’s ideal adopter is someone who understands his medial needs but will also provide plenty of snuggles and squeaky toys.

If you are interested in Sunny, submit an adoption application and make an appointment to visit him today!
