Do you need a friend to talk to? Cupcake loves having conversations with people that come by her kennel. This older lady is at the stage of life that she would prefer things to be a little quieter. She has lived with dogs in the past and has been around children. Cupcake is declawed on her front feet so she MUST be an indoor only cat. Because she is declawed, she sometimes uses her teeth so she may not be a good choice for very young children. Swing by and have a conversation with Cupcake and see if she is the one for you.

Are you an adult that is looking for a quiet and loving companion? If you answered yes, then you should come meet Bootsie. This senior gentleman has lived his entire life with his previous owner. Unfortunately she is no longer able to care for him. Bootsie has never been around other animals or children so he would prefer to be an only pet in a nice quiet home. Stop by and meet this sweet cat today.

Hello, I am looking for my new forever home after being found wandering the streets in town. I received a much needed haircut once I got used to the kind people here at the shelter, and now I’m ready to go. I need a home with someone who will be patient to me adjusting to being indoors again, and with older children who understand my boundaries. Come visit me at the shelter!

Violet resides in a foster home. To meet her, fill out an adoption application and the foster coordinator will arrange a meeting!

Violet is a very sweet, laid-back kitty cat whose only desire is a quiet place and warm lap to call home. She is very special and has the power to turn a dog person into a dog AND cat person (her foster mom is proof of that!). Violet is very mellow, but she is also shy and a bit afraid when she is first around new people. However, once you give her a few pets and a bit of time to show her you are her friend, ALL she wants is to lay on your lap and get petted endlessly. It only took her a few hours to come out of her shell and purr for pets at her foster home. Despite her love of people, Violet would thrive best in a quieter home with more minimal foot traffic. Please reach out if you are interested in this beautiful, sweet angel. She will truly give her home great companionship and joy.

Joey didn’t come from a land down under but he was out roaming. We can’t understand why though. You see Joey is declawed on his front feet. Declawed cats should never be left outside since they have lost their primary way to defend themselves. Thankfully HPD came to the rescue and brought him to the safety of the shelter. This big handsome fella is very affectionate and already neutered. Come meet Joey today!

Cookie is a male, senior cat that is declawed on his front feet. Therefore he must be an indoor only cat. Cookie was surrendered because his owner moved. Cookie lived with his previous family his whole life. He is described as very friendly towards everyone, but he is a very independent cat. He is very much a couch potato, and enjoys to cuddle on his terms. He enjoys lounging about, and occasionally playing with the dogs in the home. He has been around children ages 4+ and did great with them. He gets along with dogs large and small but prefers smaller dogs. He has not been around other cats so it is unknown how he is with them.

Callie is a declawed Calico beauty. Her previous owner left her behind with a roommate who could no longer care for her. Callie may need some time to get to know and trust her new person. She must be an indoor only cat due to previously being declawed. Make an appointment to meet Callie today.
