Animal Info

Zorrino is a large (60lbs) adult (2 year old) Australian Cattle dog mix that was brought to us as a stray a couple of months ago.

Zorrino is a very active, rowdy dog that can be fun to be around if you can manage his behavior. He lacks basic manners and is prone to jumping and mouthing (grabbing at clothing, arms, hands) when engaging with people.
He can be very rough when he plays with humans and is impatient (lacks impulse control). He has high prey drive and will chase small animals (cats, rabbits etc.)

He’s best suited for a home without young children, cats and small dogs. Ideal adopter will have experience with training large breed dogs with high prey drive. His behavior can be modified through training and teaching him to make better choices. He loves playing in the dog pool (and water dish) and is particularly fond of playing fetch with stuffed toys. He’s slowly learning self control and to now jump on and grab at people when interacting. It’s a work in progress.

Zorrino requires special counseling due to his behavioral needs. If you are interested in Zorrino submit an adoption application and special form by copy and pasting the link below into your browser. A member of our staff will review your information and contact you regarding next steps.
