Animal Info

Duke Jack is a large (67 pound) young (2.5 year old) black lab surrendered to us due to a change in his owner’s housing. He has had multiple home experiences in his life so far – none of which were his fault – and has anxiety as a result of the loss of places he thought were his forever homes. He is very ready to find his true forever home where he can live out his best life!

Duke Jack is a loyal, loving dog. He is protective of his owners and strangers will need to allow him time to warm up. He is wary of older men, does not like thunderstorms or visits to the vet, and does not like special treats (like rawhides) being taken from him.

Duke Jack is crate trained, housebroken, has gotten along with children, dogs, and cats in his previous homes. He LOVES treats and knows many tricks including sit, lay down, and will sometimes “stay.”

Duke Jack has been diagnosed with Lyme disease, a tick-borne illness that may cause symptoms of lameness, low appetite, and fatigue. Consulting with a veterinarian upon adoption about the best treatment options is highly recommended.

Would you like to give Duke Jack the forever home he desperately seeks? In return, he will give you endless affection and joy! Come see Duke Jack today!
